Tour Plan
Day 1 - Guwahati to Shillong 110 kms in 03 hrs drive
On arrival at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station, assistance and warm welcome by our representative and drive towards Shillong, also known as ‘The Scotland of the East’ is the capital city of Meghalaya. En route you will visit the largest manmade lake of Northeast India – Umium Lake. Reaching Shillong after 03 hours journey (approximately), we check-in at a city Hotel. Evening free for leisure or for shopping in the famous Police Bazaar in Shillong. Overnight in Shillong.
Day 2 - Mawlynnong & Dawki excursion
In the morning, you will proceed for a full day excursion to Dawki - International trade route border town of Dawki is a splendid drive passing through deep gorges and ravines, which is certainly a thrilling experience. Dawki is a beautiful place situated in the borders of Bangladesh and Meghalaya. You will also have an option of boating in the beautiful Dawki river.
Later you will be visiting Mawlynnong Village which has earned the distinction of being the Cleanest Village in Asia the picturesque village, offers many interesting sights such as the living root bridge and another strange natural phenomenon of a boulder balancing on another rock. Mawlynnong nestled in the pristine hill state of Meghalaya, is along the Indo-Bangla border. This adorable and colourful little village is known for its cleanliness. Overnight stay at Shillong.
Day 3 - Shillong to Cherrapunjee Sightseeing & return to Guwahati
Morning after breakfast, check out from hotel and explore Cherrapunjee 1.30 hrs drive which is famed for being the wettest place in the world. Cherrapunjee possesses some exotic waterfalls and impressive limestone caves. In Cherrapunjee, we visit the Nohkalikai Falls, Seven sisters falls, Mawsmai Caves, Rama Krishna Mission, Eco Park, Dainthlen Fall, Arwah cave, Garden cave. Later back to Guwahati for overnight stay.
Day 4 - Guwahati Local Sightseeing
Morning after breakfast visit the famous Maa Kamakhya Temple on the Nilachal Hills (10kms) – a seat of the tantric cult in India and one of the 108 Shakti Peethas in the country. More you will visit Umananda Island, Basistha Temple, Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra. Evening River Cruise on the mighty river Brahmaputra. Later explore local market in Guwahati. Later explore local market at Guwahati.Overnight in Guwahati.
Day 5 - Guwahati Airport drop
After breakfast check out from the hotel and enjoy Brahmaputra Rope way on the River Brahmaputra. Later transfer to Guwahati Airport for the onward journey. Today your tour with Northeast Tour ends. Fly back with sweet memories of Northeast Tour. Stay happy and stay blessed.
