Mesmerizing Sikkim

Wake up around 07.30 am and get fresh and have heavy breakfast till 09:00am. After receiving permit We drive you to Tsomgo Lake / Chhangu Lake (Alt 12000ft/3600M), a high altitude alpine lake close to Indo-China Border. The 1 km long and 15m deep lake is considered sacred to the local people. The pure clear water remains frozen during winter. Enjoy playing in snow and Yak Ride. There is a ropeway also to enjoy aerial view of Lake. Proceed further to Legendary Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir (“Hero of Nathula” An Indian soldiers who was awarded the Maha Vir Chakra medal for his bravery and known for doing his duty still after death). Please carry some snacks / fruit as there is no option for food.

Optional tour to Nathula Pass (Alt 14000Ft / 4200M) on China Border can also be arranged (Except Monday) for Indian Nationals only with 2 Days Advance Request at an additional cost. (Permit for Nathula Pass is subject to availability)

Back to Gangtok city for late Lunch. Take some rest. Or you may visit the famous M G Marg (by own arrangement). It is now more like a long stretch of open mall or avenue square where locals and tourists take leisure stroll or just sit and relax on one of the many benches laid along the middle and both sides of the road to enjoy the ambience. The entire area is free of litter, smoke and vehicle. Overnight stay at Gangtok.

Documents need to carry: Original id proof (Anyone out of Voter ID/ D.L/ Passport) + 02 Photocopies + 04 Passport size photos. (Pan Card & Aadhar Cards are not acceptable)

Post breakfast check out from hotel, driver will report you after receiving permit for North Sikkim then depart for Lachung (Alt 8075Ft / 2425M) in North Sikkim. Around after 03 hrs drive, take your Lunch at a local restaurant at Mangan (Head quarter of North Sikkim District). Further on the way visit Chungthang Confluence and Vim Nala Water Falls. As well as you move towards your destination, your interests will increase accordingly by the views around. Reach Lachung at evening.

Lachung has been described as the "most picturesque village of Sikkim" and also well known for snowcapped mountain peaks, breathtaking waterfalls, sparkling streams and apple orchards. Weather is very pleasant even in peak summer. Whole valley is covered with full bloom of rhododendron (During May to Sept). Overnight stay at Lachung.

Early morning have light breakfast or pack it. Start around 06:00/07:00 am. Yumthang is popularly known as 'Valley of Flowers. It is also home to the Shingba Rhododendron Sanctuary, and has over 24 species of the Rhododendron, the state flower. A vast flat greeny landscape in the lap of “The great Himalaya” covered with tree and a glacier flowing through it is enough to make you speechless. You can see snow here in every season. You will feel like to be in Heaven. Return to Lachung Hotel for prepaid lunch.

Optional Yumesamdong or Zero Point (Alt 15750Ft / 4725M) for Indian tourists only– From Yumthang Valley you can drive for another 30kms in 1.30hr to Yumesamdong or Zero Point close to Tibet Border (At an additional cost).

Lachung to Gangtok, 120 kms in 05 hrs 

After lunch, Check out from Lachung hotel and drive back to Gangtok (Alt 5550Ft / 1675M) via Chungthang. Check in at hotel by late afternoon. Overnight stay at Gangtok.

Post breakfast, check out from Hotel and drive towards IXB / NJP. With lots of scenic beauty of his region and lovely moments, your heart will not allow you to leave this place but your destination awaits for you. Our driver will drop you at NJP Railway Station / IXB Bagdogra Airport for further journey. Today your tour with Northeast Tour ends. Fly back with sweet memories of Northeast Tour.
